Survive the Wild — a free roguelike auto-battler

Roguelike Auto-battler Action Survival

About the game

Survive the Wild is a roguelike auto-battler. Lost in the wild, you fight your way home. Pick a weapon — sword, axe, bow, or staff — and watch your hero auto-attack the waves of green goo, rats, monkeys, lions, yetis, and dragons that march in from the right. Mid-level, three upgrade cards slide in and you pick one. Coins drop on every kill; spend them between runs on permanent upgrades. Boss every five levels.

How to play

Controls

  • Pick a weapon: click or tap one of the four weapons on the start screen.
  • Pick an upgrade: mid-level, click/tap one of the three cards that slide in.
  • Shop: between runs, click/tap permanent upgrades to spend banked coins (touch-drag to scroll on mobile).
  • Combat is automatic — your only decisions are weapons, upgrades, and shop spend.

Tips & strategy

Pick one damage scaling line and stack it — crit, attack speed, or projectile count — instead of grabbing whatever looks fun. Bow + speed is the easiest run for new players; the staff is brutal on bosses once you stack its splash. Bosses telegraph slow attacks every five levels; if you're hurting, save a card slot for healing or shield before the round-5 fight. Banked coins persist on death, so spend the shop's HP+ upgrade first — it carries every future run.

Fullscreen

Hit the Fullscreen button in the bar above the play area to expand. To exit, press Esc (or swipe down from the top edge on touch) and tap the Exit button that slides in.

Auto-battler notes

Build identity

Survive the Wild is an auto-battler roguelike where the run is shaped by companions, traits, and positioning choices. Because combat resolves quickly, the lasting skill is choosing upgrades that agree with each other instead of grabbing the highest number every time.

Draft advice

Pick a theme early: durable frontline, burst damage, status effects, or scaling economy. Then evaluate each reward by whether it strengthens that plan. A mixed team can survive the opening, but focused synergies are what carry into elite waves.

Why it adds value

It gives Legitsauce a strategic roguelike flavor distinct from twitch survival. Players who enjoy drafting and team composition can find depth here without needing a huge install or account system.
